ADVOCACY

Organizations & Events LBC Supports

Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. is heavily involved in the cycling community, as well as advocacy efforts. Below are some example organizations and events we partner with, support or sponsor.

NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association)

Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. donates $10 to NICA for every Trek full-suspension mountain bike we sell. Trek then matches that $10 donation, putting $20 towards NICA for each of those full-suspension bikes sold from our shop. Additionally, Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. supports our local chapter by giving all kids and coaches 25% off the purchase of new bikes. Want to learn more about this awesome program? Come in and ask us about it! The link below will also take you to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association website where you can learn all about getting #MoreKidsOnBikes

PeopleForBikes

Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. donates $1 to PeopleForBikes for every Bontrager helmet we sell. Trek then matches that $1 donation, putting $2 towards PeopleForBikes for each of the Bontrager helmets sold from our shop. Launched in 1999 as Bikes Belong, PeopleForBikes has invested $2.1 million in community bicycling projects and leveraged more than $654 million in federal, state, and private funding, ensuring safer places to ride for both children and adults. Bicycle Longmont

Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. is a proud partner and supporter of Bicycle Longmont. Bicycle Longmont is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised solely of volunteers and is dedicated to making bicycling safer and more enjoyable in Longmont, Colorado. Their goal is to get more people on bikes more often through education, encouragement, and advocacy. The Kids' Holiday Bike Program is one of Bicycle Longmont's highlight programs that Longmont Bicycle & Coffee Co. is heavily involved in. Bikes are collected from residents, and are then refurbished and distributed to kids and teens in need each December. LBC provides a workspace, tools, parts, supplies and labor to get the bikes in working order before being donated. We hold multiple events each year and invite the community to join us and help. Be sure to visit our Events Calendar so you don't miss out on things like The Kids' Holiday Bike Program or Bike Night in Longmont!

Bike MS

Each ride in the Bike MS series offers unique local flavor, while maintaining a consistently well-organized and extraordinary experience. Visit the local Colorado chapter page to learn more.
